From Kumkum didi

Sunday

I got to see Jatindra Mohan Prabhu this evening for about a half hour. He was sleeping when I went around 6:30 and the nurse said that a while before, she'd given him something to help him relax, because he is so agitated when he's fully conscious that he sweats profusely. About 4 times, he did open his eyes and looked almost at me as I told him who I was, said "Hare Krishna, Srila Gurudev is coming", etc. He didn't acknowledge knowing me at all, but it seemed the reason for that was because of grogginess, like any sleepy person.

The nurse, Alice, also told me that a physical therapist works with him each morning, trying to get him to at least stand with a walker. She thinks that he does get to standing, with full support on each side, but can't say whether he seems aware of what he's doing because she isn't present for the sessions.

I read Chapter 9 of Sri Gita, and felt very grateful for his reminding us of the value and omnipresence of our guardians' mercy.
