Saturday

Jatindra had an MRI last night and although we haven't heard the results yet we have been told that the news is not life threatening and did not cause more worry to the Dr.
They were able to conclude that the damage to the aorta was a pre-exisiting congenital condition and did not cause the fall. He has a sister with the very same condition. They are not worried about the heart now and they have cut his meds by half and there has been no spike in his blood pressure and he is holding strong. They are worried about the brain now. It is a very good sign that they could lower his meds and they are carefully monitoring it trying to find the balance between the medicated coma and the pain.
There is no skull fracture although we have been told that the skull is very hard to crack, but the brain is not. The impact caused the artery in the brain to tear, and the artery pumps a lot of blood at a fast pace to the organs so it was very serious when it tore.
The punctured lung will heal by itself and while he is sedated they have him hooked up to a breathing machine which will aid the lung to heal.

We still have no idea what caused his fall. There are many many many theories out there, but there is no evidence to prove any of them. The bike is fine and no skid marks or witnesses. He was still straddling the bike holding on to the handle bars when Adi Kesava first saw him, laying on the side of the road.

Thank you for all of your prayers and well wishes.
